How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because am happy having started the construction project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give me money that relived me from poverty. Give Directly did bad to listen to false reports from other community members that led to a termination of eligible households.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying construction materials for an iron roofed house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 1,200,000 ugx on buying bricks and murram gravel worth 240,000 ugx. The balance of 160,000 ugx I have set aside to pay the builders, and I also spent 4,000 ugx on my transport to the mobile money agent. Finally the balance of 96,000 ugx I bought a bag of maize flour for my family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt happier because I had received the money that I had been promised. At my age I had a dilapidated house and this was my happiest moment of building my own permanent house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I have hopes of building my own residential house. I was growing thinner and my health was deteriorating due to stress and worries. I am relieved now that atlast I will have my own house.
