How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving the transfer, I was very poor. I could not afford to buy basic necessities. I can now afford to buy food, iron sheets for my house, a goat, blankets and clothes. I had always wanted to have these things. I could not even afford to buy plates and pots for my house. I am now able to afford these and this makes me very happy and grateful.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has helped pull us out of poverty. It is a great organization. We used to lack alot of basic necessities like blankets and food but now we have all these because of GD. It does very well in helping people.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am someone who tries to provide a good life for my children, hence this money has come at a good time as I was having plans to start saving and buy some livestock especially goats as I already have ducks. The other money will go towards buying good and warm clothes as well as beddings for my children. This will ease our sleeping challenges of sleeping on bare mats with work our blankets.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy each time I afford a meal in my household. This gives me a piece of mind and a happy family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One of the biggest hardship has been the care of these children. My husband left for work in another area but I have now given up hope if he will ever come back.
