How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Using my entire transfer to make a farm will not help me which was my first goal. So since I have used my first and second transfer on farming activities I have decided to use this third transfer for a charcoal business that will enable me save more money to sustain my family and I.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I love the way GiveDirectly it working with us. GiveDirectly is transparent and is also fair in the her work. I'm grateful to GiveDirectly for helping me out with this money.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought four gallons of gasoline, two quart of engine oil for the charcoal production. I also paid contractors to do the cross cutting of the stick

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money I will build a house in Tubmanburg for my children to live in while going to school which will bring me so much joy because the school my children are attending in this town stop to six grade and there's no high school around here for them to attend. The money I earn from the farm I make, I use some for feeding and used the balance to pay my children school fees and there's nothing left to build a house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has make me happy is when my in-law surprise me in August 2021 with a new phone which brought so much joy and happiness to me because I used to begged people for their phone before I can talk to my daughter in Tubmanburg. Because of this, I no longer beg my neighbours for their phone to make call any longer as I have my own phone now.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardships I'm facing now is the lack of money. I want to build a house in Tubmanburg on the land I bought for my children to live in and attend high schools which will bring me joy because I don't have money to be renting at the same time paying their fees. The money I earned from the Cassava farm I make, I spent some on food and use the balance to pay their school fees. The school my children are attending in this town stop to six grade and there's no high school around here for them to attend.
