What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive this money, I will use some to build my house and start a business to which I have been struggling to do. Right now I'm not doing anything to sustain my family. My husband left me pregnant and went to another woman with all the money we earned from the farm. I pick charcoal for people in order to sustain my family. At times my children and I sleep with hunger because I don't have money to afford food for them. Because of my condition, my aunt took three of my children to live with her in Monrovia. The house I live is my family house. At times I receive lots of insult from other family members. I will appreciate any help from Givedirectly to improve my living conditions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy is when my son namesake paid his hospital bills in the month of September 2021. It brought me so much happiness because I was worried about how to get money and pay my son hospital bills but he came and helped me which makes me very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing now is money. My husband left me when I was pregnant and took away all the money we labour for and left me with nothing. I want to build a house and start a business which will bring joy to my family but I don't have money. I pick charcoal for people as means to provide food for my children. Sometimes my children and I sleep with hunger because there's no money to buy food. The house I live in is my family house. At times I receive lots of insult from other family members because of my condition and I feel very bad about it. I will appreciate any help from Givedirectly to improve my living conditions.
