What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I completed the construction of my main house that I started with the second transfer. I was tired and sick of living in a earth house, which required constant smearing.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because I can now afford a square meal, which has improved my health, as opposed to before when I was struggling to earn a living. And again, I moved from an earthed house to a cemented one where life has become easier; I don't need to smear it constantly to maintain its state and this is a great relief to me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what Give Directly does well is sending us money directly but it could have added us money that was meant for the non-participants to enable us develop further, which is the only thing it never did.

I spent my second transfer on repairing and smearing my house which was worn out. I also bought cement which I will use for plastering to make it neat and more attractive.

I had never imagined that I could own such amount of money and spend on repairing my old mud house. I feel the happiness and satisfaction of living comfortably in a neat house. This is a big difference to me and I thank GD.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, I plan to use part of the transfer to buy a cow that would later provide us with milk for family use. Secondly, I intend to use another part of the transfer to build a new house with cemented floor. Lastly, I intend to use the remaining balance to lease a piece of land where I would grow maize for food security because currently I don't have one.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm very proud of is having bought two sheep with savings from my vegetables farming.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is that, I don't have a piece of land where I can grow food crops for food security, so I have to lease every year.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when I am relaxing reading Bible, after having my lunch.
