How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my family status has improved. I have built two grass thatched houses which are better than the ones I had.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has supported families with the start up capital which has elevated their living standards. I do not see anything that Give Directly has not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer worth 1,633,000ugx to purchasing a cow worth 630,000ugx to act as an Income generating activity. I have also built two grass thached houses worth 445,000ugx. I have a balance of 558,000ugx which I intend to use for hiring land for cultivation and feeding my family.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my family is happy because they got a bicycle for fetching water, a cow and a goat that will support family development. We are also happy because we will be able to hire the garden next year.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the transfer i felt so happy, i thanked God for the money and in my heart i knew that it will enable me sort many problems that i have been facing.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying a cow at 800,000ugx, a goat at 60,000ugx, a bicycle at 190,000ugx. Am keeping the balance but i intend to use it for hiring the garden early next year.
