Currently, I can pay my children's school fees on time and they do not have to stay home without fees like they used to before the transfers. This has eased my burden and now I can meet both my household needs as I take care of my children.

I am planning to rear livestock. This will help me once the transfers stop truckling in. I am looking forward to venturing into dairy farming.

The biggest difference that these transfers have helped me in the past four months is that I have been able to pay my children's school fees on time. This was a struggle in the past where I was expected to pay school fees as well as meet the household needs it was burdensome.

I expect my life to change in the next six months because I will have bought a cow. I plan to buy a cow because there is high demand for milk in this area. Animal feeds also do well in this region and I think I should take advantage of that. I also have enough space and equipment and the right skills for rearing a dairy cow. I will, therefore, continue saving my monthly income and buy a cow.

For the last four months proceeding the current transfers, I haven't been facing a lot of financial challenges. Previously was not able to provide for my family well since I did not have a stable source of income. GD transfers have changed my life because I don't borrow as I used to borrow when there were no casual work jobs in the village. I thank God for GD.

One of my oxen fell ill and died leaving me with only three but I need four of them in order to use them for plowing my farm and for others at a cost. For the next four months of my life, I have a new goal of saving some money so that I can use it to purchase another ox to add to the ones I have. This will help me raise an extra income when I plow for others.

I mainly depend on casual and manual jobs to get my daily subsistence but considering that I am the main dependent in my family, the little that I make from these jobs is barely enough for my family's needs. The last four months have been quite different in that I am financially stable now that the transfers from GiveDirectly have complemented what I make from the casual jobs and right now I can take care of my family's needs without a problem as compared to before.

There is a piece of land next to my business premise on sale. Being that it's next to where I'm currently operating a business, I need to purchase it so that I can construct more shops for renting out so that I can have additional; source of income. Therefore in the next six months, I have a plan of saving the monthly transfers from GD plus the income that I earn from the business and use it to purchase the land.

During the Long December holidays, I was able to buy two sheep because I did not have any fee payment responsibilities. To avoid spending that month's transfer on non-important items, I decided to buy two sheep that I can later sell to in case I am in a critical financial fix.

We are planning to combine our transfers as a family for the next few months so that we can buy a bull. It has been our greatest wish to buy another bull that we can use in ploughing. Around here, we still farm the traditional way by using oxen driven ploughs which requires one to have at least two cows, but since I have only one, I would like to buy one more.

Because most of my family members receive these transfers, lately a huge burden has been taken off my shoulders as one of my sons can pay most of his school fees while my wife can assist with the household requirements. We also have food security as our produce is specifically meant for our own consumption unlike before when we were forced to sell some of it to raise money for household requirements and school fees.

I am a farmer who owns large farms. Ploughing these farms have always been tough because I do not have the ploughing tools which forces me to rely on my neighbour who has them. This usually inconveniences me and delays my plans as I have to be patient as he takes care of his own farms before I can use the tools. I am hoping that in the next six months, I will have bought my own tools so that I can plough my farms at my own time.

Right now I have a reliable source of income from GD as opposed to how I used to be so worried in the past by engaging in casual jobs that generates unreliable income that keep on fluctuating from time to time depending on the seasons. I currently am a member of a table banking group that act as a savings point for us who are members. The savings will help implement the financial changes that I expect to see in my life.

Right now I I am planning to save some cash from what the organization will be sending to me in the next four months so that my savings grow significantly. I will then top up with some cash that I expect to get from my table baking group and use the money to buy a new motorbike for myself. I will then use the motorbike to ferry passengers at a fee within the village and in turn make some profits out of it. The profits generated from the motorbike business will help in supporting my family financially. Additionally, I will buy an ox-cart that I will be using to plough my farm in the future so that my work becomes much easier than using manual techniques like I do currently.

I have been able to pay school fees for my children with utmost ease ever since Give Directly started sending me the cash eight months ago. Initially I had to work so hard by cultivating my land and once the farm products were ready then I had to sell them off in exchange of money which I would then use to pay the school fees. Right now I still sell of my farm products but then the profits generated from selling the products goes into other uses such as sorting household financial needs. What makes me happy now is that I have an option of not selling the farm products and instead using them to feed my family better because I have enough capital that feeds my family on balanced diet meals. Apart from that, I also used to apply for school bursaries at the county level but then getting the cash is like playing lottery which means that I could be awarded the cash just by luck.

Once I buy my own motorbike, I know I will be able to make a lot of money because all the profits generated will be mine. Right now I work for someone and I have to make returns to the owner every single day, which leaves me with very little money for myself. Once the profits start trickling in, I will save the cash from the motorbike business which I will use to invest in other business that will also generate more income for me that will enable me to support my family with a lot of ease.

The biggest difference in my daily life is the ease I have gotten in paying school fees for my son. I do not have to sell my livestock to settle the arrears.

In the next six months, I expect my life to have changed for the better as I will be having my own ploughing bulls.

My life is currently different from how it would have been had I never received the transfer in that I am able to meet my family needs without much strain like before.

My new goal is to buy my own ploughing bulls and not to depend on others in order to plough my farms.
