How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life different in that, I'm very happy to have held such an amount of money for free in my life. This money has enabled me to get whatever I needed and also get treatment. If I never got this money I think I would have already died because I could not have managed to fort the hospital bills on my own.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by supporting us to get Livestock and build permanent structure. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer for treatment at UGX 450,000, transport at UGX 60,000, Livestock at UGX 500,000, gift at UGX 20,000, food at UGX 64,000, solar energy at UGX 25,000 clothing/household goods at UGX 225,000, Sanitation (drum,pot) at UXG 36,000 There is a balance of 250,000 which I'm planning to spend it on treatment.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, am now days happy because the money has enabled me achieve a lot in my life like plastering my house, owning better house hold items plus accessing better health services.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I became very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for purchasing a trip of aggregate at 200,000 ugx, a trip of sand at 150,000 ugx, 9 bags of at 271,000 ugx, labour for building and digging a latrine at 210,000 ugx, a window and a door at 100,000 ugx. I spent 175,000 ugx on buying food, house hold goods( a drum, a box, plates, cups,) at 74,000 and ugx and transport 20,000 ugx. I have not yet spent 500,000 ugx but am planning to spend it on paying a mattress and treating my self.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to plaster my house and buy oxen for ploughing.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when My grand child cooks for me lunch and we eat together.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is that I was operated twice and curently I am weak and un able to cultivate.
