How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I also feel respected in the community because I have built a nice house. Before I received this cash transfer I was idle without any job opportunity. The cash transfer empowered me to build a house and start a comfortable life. I am now volunteering and looking forward to getting a good paying job.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well to assist all the people in the community without segregation. Secondly GiveDirectly sends cash transfers without asking for bribes or any kind of payment. On the other hand I can not claim to know anything which GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX700,000 to purchase iron sheets and UGX800,000 to pay the builders. I spent the remaining money to buy personal basic needs.
