How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would have been suffering like before. I now have a bed, matress and I am looking forward to fixing my house. I am very grateful that I received these transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
This organisation did an amazing job in my village. I did not know that people sleep on a double bed but now I have my own double bed. I also bought a matress and blankets and now I have a comfortable place to sleep on.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy a bed and a matress. I have saved some of the money so that when the rainy season is over I should fix the roof of my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money to me means that now I have a good and warm place sleep and a house that does not leak. As I speak I sleep on sack and use a work out blanket that does not even keep the cold away. In rainy season like these I sometimes have to leave my house in the middle of the night as my house leaks.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the afternoon when I have found food. Without food it not a happy day
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is my house. My food is made of grass and we place a plastic inside to avoid leakage. The plastic that I have is worn out as such it leaks. This is some thing that worries yearly
