How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Honestly, I would not have managed to build a house without these transfers. I am now able to sleep on a matress and I have a good house. I am thankful for the transfers.

GiveDirectly did a very good job because many people's lives have been transformed. People in my community have built houses, some have bought matresses and we are all very happy because we received these transfers.

I used the money to buy cement because I want to fix the floor of my house. I have kept some of thw money so that I can start a business. I will use the profits from the business to support my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
This was a happy moment, a moment of laughter, of smiles and of excitement. At this time i was really surprised with the cash. I received it in disbelief as i could not believe that i have received such a huge amount of money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Honestly the biggest difference this transfer has made in my life is that iam now sleeping on a good place as compared to my previous sleeping place. I have a good mattress and new blankets. It is also important to note that my family has enough food which i have purchased with money from GiveDirectly. My life is better and now I live in happiness with my family. Iam grateful to GiveDirectly.

When i had received the cash, i immediately bought 4 bags of maize because at that time I had no food. Secondly i bought beddings as i had no good beddings. The remaining cash was used to pay school fees for my child who has just been selected to start form one at secondary school.
