How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I had no new goals before receiving this payment. My old goal has been to build a new house. My family and I live in my in-laws house. We could not afford a place to stay of our own. We moved in with my in-laws. We have been hoping to build a new house but have been unable to do so due to lack of money. We make red palm oil and coal. We then take it to local markets to sell. The mo.ey is not enough to cater to our needs. I was so excited when I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly. Our lives have improved greatly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does not do anything wrongly. It's cash program has changed our lives for the best. We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used some of my payment to buy zinc and some other building materials. I also bought a bag of rice. I saved the rest of my money so that I can start a new business. I am so happy for this opportunity.
