How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My initial plan was to renovate my current house by plastering the walls and putting a smooth floor within the entire house. However, as soon as I received my recent transfer, I decided to pay the yearly tuition of three (3) of my children. Having my children yearly tuition fully paid has been my newest and most important goal at the moment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am grateful to GiveDirectly for this wonderful program that has brought change to my livelihood. The cash provided me by GiveDirectly has given me hope for the future. I feel so relieved at the moment. From my own understanding, I see nothing that GD is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have decided to plaster both the interior and exterior parts of my house. I also wanted to put a smooth floor within the entire house. Nevertheless, everything changed as soon as I received my recent transfer. I used a very huge portion of my money to fully pay my children tuition for this academic year. Transfers received from GiveDirectly has changed the lives of me and my family. We will forever remain thankful.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal before recieving this transfer is to renovate my old house. I want to renovate my old house so that I can use it as a guest house for guests that may visit me in the future. Often times the children are asked to sleep in our neighbor's house when we have guests. When this goal is achieve, my children will not have to leave their room to sleep else where in order for a guest to a sleeping place.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by being fair during the enrollment process. The enrollment officers visit every house in the town. In this way the households that are eligible and deserving are not left out of the process. Opinion wide, the organization has not done anything that is wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The first and second transfers were spent on this new house. As seeing the old house is roof with sticks and thatches. Also the walls are not plastered with cement. I therefore used my most recent transfer to buy four bundles of zinc and few bags of cement. I feel totally relieved now from the burden of cutting thatch every rainy seasons

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have bought all of the materials I need to have my house built. I have the zinc, nails, planks, and cement on hand to begin the construction of my new house. My plan now is to pay the builder who is coming to build my house. Before recieving this transfer, my goal has been to have a new and decent house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is fair during the enrollment process. Every house is visited during this process to determine the eligiblity of every households. GiveDirectly does not favor a specific group of people or community. I think GiveDirectly is excellent in its workings.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As mentioned earlier, I did spend my most recent transfers on the purchase of zinc, nails, planks, and cement bags. The house I am currently living in is no longer in good condition. I am afraid that one day while sleeping at night it may collapse. I do not have no where else to go with my family; as seeing, age can no longer permit me to do any hard work. GiveDirectly has given me hope again. This is why without any delay the building of a new house is now my focus.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
One morning I was on my way to the farm. As I got to the network area I received an alert that I have received forty thousand three hundred seventy five dollars from GiveDirectly. I went back immediately to the so that someone can confirm if it is true. I over joyed when my cursin confirmed it was the transfer from GiveDirectly. Let me be true to, I first I didn't believe that this money was going to be sent because other NGOs been coming telling us that they will things from us but in the end they are not available. Infact, GiveDirectly is the only organization that I have seen it employees come in this town and don't drink from people, buy food, or even accept a gift from the community. I love their workings to admit. May God richly blessed GiveDirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am going to build a new house that I will be in without water leaking on me when it rains. I am no more going to be lying down on bamboo bed but instead mattress. I can safely and proudly say that the above statements describe the biggest difference in my daily life since I started recieving payments from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My most recent transfer will be used to buy zinc. Since I build this house, it has been covered with thatches. I do not sleep at night especially during the rainy season. The roof leaks every time it rains. I am therefore going to buy zinc and build a new house so that I can forever remember GiveDirectly. Thanks those that are behind the scenes working hard for me to get this money.
