How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before these cash transfers, I used to suffer cooking under a leaking thatched kitchen more so when it rained. The rain drops could even put off the fire at times. However, Life is now different because I can now cook freely and on time because I built a permanent kitchen. In addition, I'm also building another permanent house for my children so soon we will be having enough space because currently the one we are occupying can not accommodate all us.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money for building another permanent house for my children and a kitchen.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought building material ( 2 trips of bricks, iron sheets, timber), bought household goods ( mattress, bed sheets, utensils), bought a cow and saved.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life will never be the same again because the cash transfer enabled the payment of my children's school fees. In addition to this, I was able to clear an old debt and I am now debt free. Going forth, I plan to embark on the construction of a permanent house.

The happiest part of my day is in the morning after I have come back from the garden. When I am cooking, it means my children will be able to eat and that makes me happy.
