Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for the next four months is to buy a heifer. Since I started receiving transfers from Give Directly, I was able to join a merry go round and saved my monthly transfers. My turn to receive my will be after three months. I know the amount will be enough to buy a heifer. I wish to buy this as an added asset that will have that will help me in future
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have been able to save. Initially, when I used to do casual jobs I would squander everything because my expenses exceeded my income. With the surplus I receive from GiveDirectly, I have been able to improve my family well being and still save a little amount. I am planning to use the transfer to buy a dairy goat very soon. I will earn money through the sale milk and use the remaining liters
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe that I will have bought another heifer. Having both of them is an added financial security. If both of them reproduce I will be able to get more milk and my livestock will have increased. Apart from that my goat will have also started producing milk. I will have plenty of milk for sale and for my family's consumption. I thank Give Directly because I wouldn't have made these huge developments with my small income from my casual jobs

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next goal is to plant maize in the current season. I will spend the money I will be receiving on maize seeds, planting fertilizer and to prepare the farm and grow it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I spent the money on savings in a merry go round group. When it was my turn, I used the money to expand my maize selling business. This has been the best thing that I have ever come across because it gives me a constant income. I meet my household's needs using the proceeds. I am so happy that I got the transfer to enable my business to go on at an increased volume.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
The farming investments that I have managed to get using the transfer will be sources of income in the next six months. From the crops that I have planted, I will be harvesting enough for the household's food and more for sale. I will be thriving well in both farming and business.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am generally living a happier life than I was living four months a go. The fact that I have been able to buy one dairy cow and planning to buy another one really gives me much joy. The monthly transfers that we get consistently has also enabled us as a family to eat healthy all the days of the month and raise a happy family. We are so grateful to GiveDirectly for the support that we are getting from them.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goals for my life for the next four months is to improve my maize selling business and buy another dairy cow. This, I am sure shall be achieved once I get my second merry go round contribution and the proceeds from my maize selling business shall propel me towards achieving the said goals.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life over the last four months is that I have been able to take part in a merry go round contribution that has resulted in me buying a dairy cow with those contributions. I was very happy to finally be able to buy a dairy cow and have that sweet feeling of having one of my own assets. This dairy cow shall definitely be of great help to me and my family since we will get enough milk for family and sell the rest to earn that extra income that can be used to advance other income generating activities for the family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months is that I shall have more assets bought through the GiveDirectly transfers and I also expect to have improved my maize selling business. We normally encourage ourselves during the monthly merry go round for each and every person in the village to try and make a difference in their lives with the money that we receive and we are very optimistic that the entire village shall have something to show at the end of the transfers.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different because of the reduced stress and fear of lack of food in my house. I use part of the transfers to buy maize, sugar and cooking fat at each transfer. This has enabled me to meet my family's needs every day. Additionally, having hope that there is another amount of cash that I will get on top of the proceeds from my business at the end of the month has also freed my thoughts and fears of how to live this tricky and expensive life. I can now concentrate on my business instead of having to find menial jobs to supplement the little profits I get. I fully spend my time in my business which has increased my income form the profits I make.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I plan to save money in a merry go round group and use it to buy a heifer. I look forward to a time when I can also be a milk producer but I have to start small buy saving and buying one heifer. I will gradually grow into a dairy farmer but I want to buy a heifer in the next four months.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the past four months is having acquired a wire mesh to complete my poultry house and bought a lot of chicken to keep. I have done these using the transfers and also from the profits I get from the business that these transfers have helped me to expand. I trade in grains and especially maize. I needed to enclose my poultry in a clean environment to keep them safe from contracting diseases. All my chicken have been kept safe unlike before when I used to easily lose them to diseases and predators that the wire mesh fence has kept off. I will soon be collecting eggs from the project and this will be another good source of income.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have saved money in a merry go round group and will have bought a heifer. I will also have a flock of sheep that will have multiplied. ]Owning livestock will have strengthened my financial position.
