Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money and pay school fees for my children so that they will be able to pursue their dream without any interference. Besides that, as we approach the farming season, I am planning to invest in farming so that at the end of the season I can reap as fellow villagers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previously, my children used to be sent home for school fees frequently. This really affected their performances but I had no option because my casual job was not generating adequate income. Upon receiving this transfer the biggest difference in my daily life is that I was able to settle the school fees arrears and now my children are confidently going to school with no worries of being sent home for school fees and their performance has improved so well.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have set aside savings to support my children's education. This way I am certain they will have no interference with their studies. I also anticipate to have started farming and the harvest season will be around the corner by then. With the proceeds earned from the sale of farm produce, I can sustain household expenses and develop other projects like poultry keeping.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I don't have a new goal at the moment, I still want to focus on paying school fees for my two children who are in high school. They are very bright students and it wouldn't be fair if I failed them as a parent. This is why I decided to ensure their education came first. I felt venturing into something else could be very risky. At least paying school fees for them will leave me with no worries for the next one year. The peace of mind after settling the fee arrear is immeasurable.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfers is that I am always at peace and less worried. The transfers enabled me to pay school fees for my two children who are in secondary school. This has been the biggest task because I don't have a reliable source of income. When this organization gave me the means to finish this task I felt relieved and happy. To me this is the biggest difference in my life
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six-month in that I will have invested the remaining amount of transfers that I normally get from Give Directly. I know this help won't last forever so I better think of ways I will survive and elevate my living standards after Give Directly has finished their program in this village. I am also tired of borrowing and taking items on credit from my neighbors and the local stores.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was before Give Directly came into my life. Nowadays I am hopeful and more ambitious. As long as something is good and is worth money I negotiate with the seller and we agree on the terms and conditions. This has helped me acquire a lot so far. I like how most of them trust me because I always keep my word since I have a reliable source of income. I am glad that I do not cut trees down to burn charcoal anymore in order to make money but depend on the monthly transfer that I supplement with my business. Life is has become easier since this organization came to my life. I always thank God for bringing this organization to our village

The biggest difference in my life in the last four months is that I was able to pay school fees for my four children easily. They have not been sent home lately because of fee arrears. Seeing them going to school and having all the requirements like other children makes me feel happy as a parent since it has always been my biggest worry. I now have ample time to focus on other basic needs such as food and shelter.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?

I always postponed buying new ones because I earn very little and I usually prefer catering for the most pressing needs such as food. This will save me from hiring seats every time I have visitors. I also want to invest in farming because I know that this will help me sustain my family well for a long time.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have a sense of hope in life. I feel I am empowered financially as a woman. I can easily plan ahead because I am sure that GiveDirectly will definitely send the money to my account at the end of the month. I recently bought new beddings for my visitors using the transfers. I used to have old ones that could be embarrassing to give my visitors when they came around but I had no option. Atleast I am not embarrassed nowadays when they come over since I have a new and decent set of beddings to give them. My financial freedom has also made me learn to make decisions and prioritize wisely. For instance, when it comes to managing expenses, I know that I have to take care of school fees for my children first then handle other needs later.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I will have cemented my house. Maintaining a mud-walled house is never easy. The work is usually tedious and time-consuming. I had always wished to have the walls and floor cemented but since I could not afford to buy the materials I had no option but to persevere. I am happy my dream will finally come true very soon
