What does receiving this money mean to you?
Right now i am renting, and finding it difficult to pay my rent , feed my family and send my children to school. It has been my plan to build a house in order to reduce my financial burden but it's difficult to get money. When i receive my first transfer, i will buy a parcel of land and zinc. I will use my two transfers to buy building materials and pay the builders. I will use the last transfer to start a small business. My profit from the business will be use to take care of my family daily needs and pay my children's school fees. I am so happy for the help that give Directly has brought for us. This cash transfer will greatly improve my living condition.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, i have not experience any happiness. My nephew got drown and my mother-in-law also die. My nephew die November 20, 2021 and my mother-in-law die November 25, 2021. What actually made me sad is the death of my nephew. He was a promising young man. 2021 was a difficult year for my family. The year 2022 has brough joy and happiness to me because i can provide food for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenges i am facing presently is finance. I have to sell cassava to buy soap to wash my children's clothes. To feed my family and pay my children's school fees is the major challenge. I have been planning to build a house and start a small business to reduce my financial burden but the money is not available. My husband sometimes have to work for people at the gold mine to provide food for us. The little money he gets from the contract is what we use to pay our rental fees and sometimes buy food.
