What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay school fees for my 5 children, purchased 20 bags of cement and I have not yet spent UGX 552,000 but I intend to spend it for paying construction workers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me unconditionally cash transfers that has helped me move on with the construction of our children's house. I haven't noticed anything bad with GiveDirectly.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I was able to complete paying my children school fees in time. Unlike before, when I paid their fees at the last minute some thing that could stress me a lot. Furthermore, I was able to move on with the construction of our children's house, now left with the doors and windors. This house was put on hold because the money we got was directed to paying school fees.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I cleared school fees balances of my children of ugx 620000. I had started building a house sometime back and I stopped along the way due to lack of money to complete it, So when I got this money, bought timber of ugx 500000 and I also deposited money for cement amounting to ugx 580000. When I get my last transfer, I will commence its construction since I have already secured building materials.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so good and I was thankful to God because I did not expect this money to have been sent at that time. I thought it would take a long while like a month or more but the money was sent so fast and I was really happy for that. I felt relieved from all the stress I had because I was so broke to the extent I had school fees arrears for my children waiting to be cleared.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that, I'm able to do things I wasn't able to before receiving this transfer. For example I was able to pay my children's schools immediately I received the money, I was also able to resume the construction of my house which a grate achievement in my daily life.
