What does receiving this money mean to you?
Food security has been a major concern. I have 9 children and my husband does not have a sustainable job. I toil the whole day, seeking to farm for other people for pay. The transfers will help me get food for my children with ease in the whole month.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Whenever I get the opportunity to cook chapati for my children, I feel very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
After marriage, I was diagnosed with a disease that affected all my body. I grew weak and just to imagine, I was heavy for my firstborn son. I became anemic and by the time I delivered, I was advised not to breastfeed him. As a mother, I felt very bad because my son had stunted growth. This resulted in my son not attending school due to poor health care. It pains me when I recall what I went through and whenever I see my son not being educated.
