What did you spend your first transfer on?
We spent our first transfer to buy two goats to keep in the farm. We then bought a new mattress to replace the old and uncomfortable one we had. The remaining amount was spent on buying cushions for the seats and also half a bag of maize for food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received the money from GiveDirectly. I was not expecting it at that time and I was really grateful.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, we plan to use part of the transfer to build a bigger mud house with three rooms. Secondly, we intend to use another part of the transfer to buy two cattle, to pay as dowry for my wife. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount to buy five sheep, as an investment for our family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we are very proud of is, having a family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Providing food for our family, is the biggest hardship we have faced, due to inadequate income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoons, when I'm doing my household chores.
