Currently, I want to save my transfers so that I may be able to buy building materials such as cement and sand for plastering my house. I would want to have a presentable and durable house.

I have never had a kitchen. I have always had to cook outside the house because the house was not big enough to accommodate a cooking place. During the rainy season, I have always had to cook very early before the rains. This is because when it rains, my cooking place is rained on hence I won't be able to cook until it drys up. I did not have enough money to afford other cooking methods such as charcoal or gas. When I started receiving my transfers, I first thought of building a kitchen. I was able to save my monthly transfers and use them to buy building materials for putting up a kitchen. Since then, I no longer go through the stress I used to have because of the rains.

In the next six months, I will have plastered my house. I plan to save my monthly transfers so that I may be able to buy building materials for plastering the house. My dream was to build a permanent house but due to lack of finances, I was not able to. Right now I get money from GD, I would want to plaster the house so that I may have a semi-permanent house. It is better than a mud-walled house. The house will be durable and presentable than what I have now.

With the transfers I received four months ago, I bought fertilizer that we used during planting. Even though the rains were insufficient and most people failed to harvest much from their farms, we got a lot more than we have ever harvested that will sustain us for several months to come. I am so happy because Give Directly has saved my family from starvation or from buying cereals for many more months to come. I know this would not have been possible without these transfers and I am so grateful.

We are still in the process of replacing the rusted roofing sheets that are still leaking which is what I wish to stull focus on over the next few months. After that, I will start saving to buy a sheep to add to the herd that I currently have.

Our house is old and the roof is rusty which made it leak. We have been using part of our transfers as a family to buy roofing sheets and replacing the rusted ones each month. So far, we have made a lot of progress and most parts of the roof don't leak. It has been a big relief not having to worry about covering up leaking areas when it rains to avoid getting soaked which was mostly the case before.

I hope that I will have completed the re-roofing of the entire house so that I can have the opportunity to invest some of the transfers on other investments such as livestock. I have a desire to buy sheep because they are easy to take care of and are quite affordable. I also have a some already, so in case I buy even one at a time, it will not be lonely. Later on, I will sell the sheep to raise enough money to buy a heifer which is my ultimate goal.

Currently, I am stress-free and my mental health is at its best. I am a full-blown farmer now and this I achieved by leasing farms through these transfers that have helped me expand my farming into larger horizons. I also ventured into livestock and poultry farming to help raise more income for my family. My family can afford food without stress.

I saved and bought iron sheets that I have started using to build a kitchen as I have a thatched roof kitchen which leaks when it rains.

I used to work so hard in order to provide for my family. The casual job was so tedious yet only earned us so little which was not enough for our sustainability. The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now stress-free as I can pay casual workers to work on my farm instead of working on the farm by myself through the transfers I receive from GiveDirectly.This helps increase the harvest which I sell and even consume the rest.

I want to save and buy building materials i.e cement and sand that I plan to use in plastering my kitchen. I will have a better place to cook and my children will have a place to sleep without fear of the rains.

My life is different from how it was months before because I know that I am in a position to get anew building which will serve as a bedroom for my daughter as well as a kitchen where I will be cooking comfortably without worrying about the harsh weather conditions.

I have a plan of erecting a new kitchen structure because right now I have a temporary structure where I cook but it is in a bad shape. Whenever it rains, then cooking in the structure becomes quite an uphill task.

I have been able to buy new seedlings and fertilizers that I have been using in cultivating my farm and using them as additives to boost my productions every season. Right now my family has enough food that can last us for a longer period than how I used to harvest in the past. In the past, I used to farm without the fertilizers where I used to get very little harvest every season but right now the story is different.

I plan to make savings together with my family members and the amount that we will get will go into buying a cow that I know will give birth in the future and we will benefit by getting milk from the animal. Apart from that I know I will make money by selling out the calves once it starts giving birth. The cash will go a long way in sustaining the family in the future.

My life is now different from how it was before because I am in a position to illuminate m,y house at night as opposed to using paraffin powered lamps that are always chocking.

I am planning to buy new iron sheets that I will erect on my new roof.

I am now able to buy food efficiently for my family. I have been able to buy a few bags of cement that I will use to build a new house for myself. I was also able to do electrification for my house recently.

My life will change because I will have accumulated enough building materials in the near future, and most probably I will have started constructing a new house structure.

My new goals currently includes buying an additive that helps the maize in faster growth.

My life is currently different from it was before because I can now plan for the future in terms of having enough food in the future.

I expect my life to change because I will be able to buy new iron sheets and have a new roofing at the end of the six months.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now able to expect a bumper harvest at the end of the season because I used fertilizers during the planting season.
