How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I have set before receiving this transfer is to renovate my old house. I have decided to remove the thacth from over my house because it is badly leaking and replace it with my new zinc I bought with my previous transfers. Thanks to Givedirectly for empowering me financially. I believe that through my transfer from Givedirectly, I will soon sleep in decent house in this Village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly actually did well for everyone in this Community. Through Givedirectly, many poor people lives have been improved in this community. Givedirectly staffs didnot accept gifts from community. Thanks to Givedirectly for the kind gestures. There is no system in GiveDirectly that needs improvement.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my most recent transfer to buy 75 pieces of planks to reroof my house. I also hired two cashual workers to start the roofing process. I am roofing my house with decent chinese design. The balance money from my last transfer was used to buy food for my workers. Thanks to Givedirectly for the cash supports. It is through Givedirectly cash supports that I will no longer sleep in a house that is badly leaking.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The newest plan that I have now is to get completed with my house. I just bought my last two bundles of zinc. I also bought some provisions for my house and pay my children's tuition. I'm also going to pay the gentlemen that will build my house. I'm thinking about establishing a little business that will help me sustain my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly doing a great job for me and my family. Even the people of my village are very happy with this program that givedirectly doing in this county. givedirectly is one NGO that I give credit to because they don't do pick and choose with people. I'm grateful for this great opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
A huge transfer will be used for the completion of my house. I paid the gentleman that built my house and I also bought some provisions for my house. I bought a pair of slippers for my wife and some provisions for her. I also bought a few packs of nails and even bought some planks for the roofing.

I have been unable to reroof my house due to lack of money. The amount of money I usually generate from selling rice and cassava on my farm are low and can not permit me to reroof my house . In my opinion Giveirectly actually did well for everyone in this village. Givedirectly is helping to empower everyone in this Community with cash supports. Many recipients who didn't have plans to build houses are now buying zincs to start building. Thanks to Givedirectly for the cash support. The is no system in GiveDirectly that needs improvement.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy two bundles 14 gage white color zinc. I want to renovate my house completely. I used some of the transfer to buy 25kg rice for eating and saved little amount of my money to hire cashual workers who will start renovating my house. Thanks to Givedirectly for the cash support. I believe that with my transfer from Givedirectly, my planned to renovate my house will soon come to pass .

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my atert, i was happy why brushing my cassava farm. My life is now getting better than before. I use to struggle with my family support especially food and children school payment. But with GiveDirectly transfer, i am now having a happy life with my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Since I received the money from GiveDirectly, my happiness have increased because, my dream of owning a decent sleeping place is now accomplished through the transfer from GiveDirectly. Thanks to GiveDirectly for giving me money.

I was able to buy two bundles of Zinc and nails to build a new house with Zinc because my old house is leaking and i been suffering for a better development. With GiveDirectly transfer, my life is improving.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to rebuild my house and to support my children in school. I have 3children; two are in Monrovia living with my wife relatives going to school while the other one stays with me here. I don't earn much from farming activities that is why when I receive my transfer, my focus will be on my house and my children's education.
What is the happiest part of your day?
During the last 6months, the only thing which has brought me joy is the fact that I am alive and my hope for Givedirectly to work in our town.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am facing a lot of challenges and because of that I can't sleep at night. When it rains I am worried because of my leaking roof and I'm also worried about my children who are not in school. My wife went to Monrovia to our big daughter for help while i am here hoping for us to become successful on Givedirectly program. I believe my transfer will improve our lives.
