How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The current significant change in my life is that, My standard of living has improved because I renovated my house and built a pit latrine. In 2018, I used to live a sub standard life with a house constructed purely on semi permanent basis and a pit a latrine lacking.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through their liberal approach of allowing the beneficiary to spend the money in anything he/she finds beneficial, which is very effective. It is not easy to find gaps in GivDirectly's operations.

I spent my second cash transfer worth UGX 1,599,000 for buying building materials like sand, murram, cement, digging a pit latrine, paying for labour and feeding the builders. The balance of UGX 33,000, I bought shoes and utensils.
