How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My only goal has been to build a house. Things have not been going so well for my family. We have been struggling. I could hardly afford my daily meals. The roof of our house has spoiled. The house is damaged. Since it was dubbed, the mud have fallen off. Its at the verge of collapsing. I have been worried how I will build a new house. Fortunately, GiveDirectly came to my town. I was excited when I got enrolled in it's cash program. Hopefully, our lives will get better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does not do anything wrongly. It has changed our lives. It's program has improved our lives for the best. I am grateful for this opportunity. Things were difficult for us. I am so thankful that our lives will never be the same again.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
We have been struggling for so long. I could hardly afford our daily meals.. I was overjoyed when I received my transfer. Firstly, I bought a bag of rice and some other food items. Secondly, since I want to build a new house,I used rest of my money to buy zinc. This program is a dream come true and I am grateful that I got enrolled.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was excited. I was indoor at night when my neighbour came and told me about the transfer.I have been suffering so much as a single mother. My children have been going to school without uniforms, back bags, and shoes.I lost my older sister since three years ago. She left her only son. I was unable to take care of him due to poverty. I sent him to Monrovia to a friend so that he can go to school. They have been calling me to go and bring him back home because there was no money to pay his school fees. It have been worrisome. Fortunately,GiveDirectly came and took away my worries by giving us unconditional cash.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is positive changes.I am now able to settle my children and my nephew's school fees and materials. I was also able to buy mattress and floor mat for my room which I never had before as a young woman. I will always be grateful to GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My children and nephew school issues has been my greatest challenges as a single mother. Therefore, I used my transfer from GiveDirectly to paid my two children yearly school fees and school materials. I was also able to sent twelve thousands Liberian Dollars for my nephew's school fees. I bought a new mattress and floor mat for my room. Lastly I kept ten thousands Liberian Dollars to start selling (fish ),a new business I'm about to establish.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Year before the last Academic year my children didn't attend school because I had no where to generate their school fees. Since I gave birthday to my children in 2009 and their father escaped, I have found it hard to care for them. At times my self can go into the bush to harvest palm just to provide their needs. Last year I was able to send them to school through the same palm harvesting and selling river sand. As I speak to you I can't imagine where to get money from to send them to school so if I receive any money from Give Directly, I will use portion of it to send them to school and the rest will be used to start selling first.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Since this year nothing has made me happy. I'm little bit happy that you have come to give us some helping hand. With this, I'm hopeful that things will be okay with me and my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge is how to get money to support my children in school and to maintain their health. I'm worried as to where to get money to put my children back in school this year and how to even provide food for them.
