How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to rebuild my house because it is not in a good condition anymore, the zinc is damaged, and there are leakages all over the building. When I rebuild my house, I will feel satisfied and ready for the rainy season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping me unconditionally without any string being attached to it, I love their manner of approach to us anytime we are having a conversation with them; I don't think GiveDirectly is not doing well in some areas because I am satisfied with the program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to invest in my farm work, I believe that through the farm produce, I will raise enough money to do other expenses and build my dream house as well, I also bought foodstuffs with some of the money, the balance was saved for future purpose.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will use half of the money to build my house and the remaining half will be used to start a business. My house is currently spoiled and needs renovation. I had to move in one of my friend who passed away house in the meantime. The first half of the money will be used to pay workers to mold bricks, buy sticks and zinc for the roofing. Secondly, I will use the remaining amount to start a business that will help me to be able to feed my son and myself.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When I received money ($3000 LD) from my friend to help me buy rice and oil to help me and my children when we were struggling and cracking palm kernels to survive.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One major problem is the housing issue. The house I was in broke down and I had to move to my late friend's place. Another challenge that I'm currently faced with is my eldest son is seriously sick with sore on his left leg that might lead to it being amputated and there's no one to help me.
