Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has changed because through this cash transfer, I have managed to put up a two bed roomed house which is now at ring beam level. I am optimistic of sleeping in a better structure after receiving my second transfer which will enable me complete it. Currently, I am still sleeping in a leaking thatched house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt very happy because I was sure of building a permanent house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer on purchasing building materials ( 3 trips of bricks, ring beam wires, iron sheets and 14 bags of cement and 1 trip of sand, timber and aggregates) worth UGX 1579,000 paid labour worth UGX 50,000. The recipient spent could not estimate how much he spent on labour.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Building a permanent house is what receiving this money means to me. This will omprove on my living conditions and standard. The house I sleep in is leaking and besides, it's very expensive to renovate a grass thatched house on yearly basis. It's very difficult to find grass because you have to move for a distance to collect it.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is at around lunch time when I have been able to find what my children eat. It's the time I interract with my children because of the satisfaction they have received from the food eaten.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Poor accommodation is my biggest hardship. The house I sleep in is leaking and very expensive to collect grass because it involves buying and hiring a vehicle for picking. We also don't have adquate bedding which makes the living standard to be low. This is attributed to the leaky roof which keeps on destroying the few bedding which we own.
