Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that, I now have an iron roofed house in my compound which I could not build before. My children will soon move to a better house from a leaky hut. My home is looking beautiful with this house and I am not afraid of hosting visitors any more because there is good shelter.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, I felt so happy. GiveDirectly is such a charity that has come to the rescue of many living in poverty.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used my first transfer for constructing an iron roofed house. I choose to do this because my children were sleeping in a hut with a leaky roof.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will build an ironsheets house that can accommodate me and my children. We are currently living in grass thatched houses of which this grass needs to be replaced frequently which is costly. But with the ironsheets house that I will build, I will have cut the burden of looking for grass whenever replacement is needed hence saving that money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the night because it is the time the children and I go to bed after a long day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of enough resources to look after my children being that I am a single father. There is no sufficient money to pay for their education, medical care and proper feeding.
