How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
With all of the money i received from givedirectly, i use it to build my own house because, throughout my life, i have never own a house until givedirectly sent me the money. With the money i received from givedirectly, my life is now better than before. Thanks to givedirectly for the money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did well because my life had been stressful and with the money i received from givedirectly, my life have improved. Thanks to givedirectly for the money.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With the money i received from givedirectly recently, i was able to buy one 25 kg of rice with part of the transfer and save the balance money to pay for the workmanship .

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
With my first and second money, i bought one bundle of Zinc, two bags of 25kg rice, matress, clothes and eshlished a new business to sustain the family when GiveDirectly shall have left the community. With the recent transfer, I was able to buy additional building materials to start with my new house with part of the money and was able to saved the balance money for part of the contractors money. It had been my dream to build my own house but making cassava farm had been my source of livelihood and couldn't generated much cash because, i am a single mother with out support. My three children father walked out of the house and couldn't support the children until GiveDirectly came into my life. Now, my life is better than before. My children are in school and we can now have a two time meal. Thanks again for all your efforts in my family life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well because, since in my life, I haven't handed such money until GiveDirectly came into my life. My hardship have reduced and I can now afford for my children. Every process went well. Thanks again for all your help.

Through the recent transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought additional materials for the building of my new house. I been suffering with my children especially living in one room with my family. I have almost all of my building materials. I am happy because my life is now better than before. I am grateful because GiveDirectly transfer is the very first help in my life were there was no way, GiveDirectly bought happiness in my household. Thanks to GiveDirectly for improving my life.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My desire was to complete my house project and also buy enough food and clothing for my entire household. However, due to very limited finances, It seemed impossible for me to accomplish my dreams. Suddenly, I received my next transfer as promised by GiveDirectly. I used a huge portion of my transfer to buy a bundle of zinc ($14,500LD); 2 bags of rice (25kg) and few pieces of clothes.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly unique method of selecting well deserved household to benefit from this program is admirable. These transfers has improved my life tremendously. I am blessed to be a part of this program.

I was in dire need of money to complete my building project and also purchase food and clothing for my family. Hence, I used portion of my transfer to buy 1 bundle of zinc ($14,500LD) to roof my new house. Likewise, I also purchased 2 bags of rice (25kg) for consumption purpose. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I needed money to buy zinc and a bigger mattress for my new house. Keeping my children in school for this academic year has also been one of my greatest desires. However, I did not have enough money to achieve my priorities at the same time. Suddenly, GiveDirectly intervene through cash transfers and changed my entire situation completely. I am very excited at the moment. GiveDirectly is indeed a huge blessing to me and my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Everything that GiveDirectly has done thus far is amazing. These transferred amounts given to me as goodwill has affected my life positively. I am grateful to GD for all they do.

When I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought 2 bundles of zinc for $22,000LD. Portion of my transfer was also used to purchase a very big mattress for my family to relax at night. Furthermore, the remaining portion of my transfer was used to pay my children tuition. I am so grateful for this opportunity provided me by GiveDirectly.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"When I receive this cash transfer from GD, I will build my house and use the balance to send my children to school. I am a single mother with two kids. It's difficult to control children in this rural areas and as a result my sister and I are in constant confusion because of the children's behaviours. If I had my own house with my family in it, this will not happen ".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"I was over joyed when God saved my life from a terrible accident that almost claimed my life in December 2021".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My current challenge is lack of finance. I'm a single mother with two children and their father abandoned us. There is no money to adequately cater for them. Moreover, I want to make business that will serve as income generation for my family but I don't have money to do so ".
