How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Right now, I own a cow and I have built a better house for my family and we are living a much happier life. My children are also able to study well without any disturbance.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I loved the way that the money was sent straight to the recipients and not through intermediaries. These transfers transformed a lot of lives they did a good.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used the second transfer to pay school fees and bought a cow for rearing. I also bought a motorbike for taxi services. i bought food with the remaining amount.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I would have raised a huge amount to spent the way I spent. I had lot of stress paying school fees but now am stress free since I got support from GiveDirectly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have been desiring to increase the size of land under cultivation but due to lack of finances, I have been unable to do so and that has been my biggest hardship in life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Having dinner with my family and seeing them happy and healthy, ends my day in a jovial mood.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have been desiring to own a cow and now that I will get money from GiveDirectly, I will use it to buy one and improve the life of my family health-wise and economically: milk has nutritional value and that means my family will be healthy. I will also sell the rest and settle settle School fees for my children.
