What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am one of the happiest people to have received money from GiveDirectly. I have already planned to buy nails and iron sheets for my household. I will also use the money to buy a bed and a matress. Lastly, I plan on buying glasses for which I plan to fit into the window frames of my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I have earnedoney to buy food. There is nothing that I cherish more than having enough food for me and my grandchildren.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is poverty. As an old person I do not have the energy to dedicate most of my time to working in the garden to grow maize for food. Most of the times I do not have enough maize to sell so that I can buy the food that I need.
