How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My son who is nine years old now have being sick since he drank caustic soda when he was two years old. And i have being using previous transfers received to take care of him medically. I also purchase motor cycle to start a transport business. Before receiving this transfer i planned to carry my son to the hospital, and buy his food because he eats more cereals, quaker oats and milk. I also purchase more big syringes that i used to feed him. There were no new goals.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I have new goals for this third transfer. I have planned to collect the last transfer to add up to the third one and travel with my sick son to Ghana for surgery. I have been using the previous transfers for food and medicine for him.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very good When received the money. When I first received the alert, I ran and dropped on the floor of my house with the excitement in me. The happiness wear away all of my problems I was thinking about at that moment. My son has a medical condition, he drank caustic soda since 2018 and he has been feeding from a tube. His food was about to finish and I was thinking how to raise money to buy additional food for him. Surprisingly for me I received this transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
There is a big difference in my life right now as compared to before. My financial burden have reduced to some extent. I was able to buy enough nutritional food for my son and I have also saved some money on my mobile money account that I'm hoping to send my son abroad for better treatment. Many thanks to GiveDirectly for turning my stressful face into a smiling face.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought food for my children with some of my money most especially for my sick son who I'm caring for. I have saved some of the money on my mobile money account to enable me attend to some of his medical expenses. My prayers is, to save more money to send my son to Ghana for proper treatment.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My major priority now is my son, he drank caustic since 2016, August 7, we have taken him to several renown hospitals in Liberia for operation. He can now eat through tube and the tube is built from the stomach. We were told that he need to be taken abroad for advance treatment. And also to build a decent house and do business to sustain me and my children. These are the plans I have on my mine when I received this cash transfer.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Beside the long life, when I see food for me and my children, that also make me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My life have been faced with too many challenges. When it comes to feeding the home, the motorbike I was riding has damaged, and I'm making farm now, so I have to do casual labor in order to sustain my children. My daughter also had an accident, but no money to take her for medical treatment, I have to be taking her to Church. Since my son drank the caustic, he eat from his mouth, only from tube all. And the man I had left me in all these crisis and moved to another home.
