How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, my life is different in that my health has greatly improved having got proper timely treatment. Before receiving this transfer, my health was really deteriorating as I had a problem with my uterus that needed urgent attention. Living in a complete plastered house has as well made my life different as it makes it look more nice and easy to clean than before when it not fully complete. I would sweep it and the house filled with dust.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by helping people to improve their lives as some have built, educated their children, got farm lands among others. Individually, it has helped me by giving me unconditional transfers that have helped me to most of all get treatment and renovate my house. However, GiveDirectly has done nothing bad. I really appreciate all its work.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent Ugx 760000 of my second transfer to buy cement, sand, water and paying labor that I used in plastering my already existing house. I also used some of my second transfer to buy iron sheets at Ugx 350000 that I plan to use to build for my grandchildren their own house. I then bought two goats at Ugx 130000 as a means of investment. I used the balance of my transfer to treat myself and cater for some household items such as utensils and feeding.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I got healed because I managed to get treatment with the transfer. Secondly I have daily happiness, peace and joy simply because I'm able to eat food unlike when I was sick. I also managed to buy a bull which will ease cultivation in the near future when rains return.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy at that particular time and I thanked God for this wonderful opportunity because I have never at one point thought I could get these large sums of money. I have worked so hard my entire life but I have never earned money like the Give Directly sent me. I thank Give Directly for everything they have done and if there was a way I could pay back I would definitely pay.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
First and foremost when I received this transfer and I am very sickly woman, I decided to seek medical attention and I spent Ugx 250000. I had a challenge of ploughing and when Give Directly gave me these transfers, I bought one bull that I will use for ploughing and it costed me Ugx 900000. The remaining sum of money I used it for buying construction materials like sand and Bricks as I wait for the second transfer to start the construction and these materials took ugx 550000 including transportation fare.
