What does receiving this money mean to you?
I live in a mud house with thatch roof. During the rainy season, my family and I find it difficult to sleep especially when it is raining in the night. The thatch leaks and we have to change it frequently which is a very difficult work to do. Therefore, when I get this transfer I will use some to build a new house for my family and I and keep the balance to provide food and other needs for the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Hearing that this NGO (GiveDirectly) had come to work in Rivercess County made me so happy. My friends who were enrolled and received their transfers before to me about the amount and how the process it free and fair. I had the hope that one day you(GD) will reach my community.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My currently challenge is lack of food for my family. We depend on farming to survive, but last year, we didn't harvest much from our farm like previous farm. The animals ate majority of the crops on the farm. The little we harvested from is been kept for this year's farming.
