Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal is to carry out proper farm care for the animals to enhance their productivity. From the money we get from both dairy cows, we will ensure that we carry out all the necessary farm operations such as deworming, tick control and proper feeding.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is the income source form the dairy cows that I bought when I received the transfers. As a result, my daily household cash needs ha significantly reduce because I don't buy milk for consumption. In addition to getting milk for use at home, I sell part of it and earn some extra cash that goes a long way to meet other household needs including paying school fees for the children.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have acquired more assets from the calving of my cows. I am going to be able to pay school fees for my children from selling milk and in case of extreme cases, sell some of the cows. I will be having a daily income that will ease my life so much.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In December last year, my 2nd born daughter felt sick. This came at a time when we had nothing at all as a family. We took her to Tenwek hospital where she was admitted for one week. The hospital bill was reading over fifty thousand Kenyan shillings. We did not have these money and we had to sell a small portion of our land to be able to offset the hospital bill. This was the biggest hardship to us which we may never forget but we thank God our daughter is feeling well now.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the midday when am done with all the days activities. This is the time that I can relax and have a good time with my loved ones.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend part of my transfer on buying a dairy cow for the family. I have a young family and this investment will go a long way in making sure that I raise a strong and healthy family. I also have plans of using the remaining amount in paying school fees for my children.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I was raised up in a very humble background where it was really difficult even to make ends meet. Being the firstborn in a family of eight, I was able to persue my studies up to standard eight. I could not proceed to my secondary education since my parents could not afford to pay my school fees. From this experience , I developed a desire to make a difference in my life. I was blessed to have a family of my own and with the little income that I get, I have always been able to provide for my family. My children are in school and nothing would stop me from giving them the best. My family alone gives me a great sense of pride.
