How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life was so miserable and full of worries all the time. Harvests could not do us well. But with the money i got from GD i have stalked maize sacks, bought a motorcycle which earns me UGx 10k per day. My friends say am developing a pot belly and indeed i am. And all this is because of GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD helps people. WE have benefited a lot from the way they operate. They give money and you use it the way you want. We have been saved from poverty.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought a motorcycle, a sugarcane plantation and also repaired my house with the money i received.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means improving our lives as a family because we plan on using the transfer to pay school fees for our children, building a kitchen because we lack one, rennovating our house and buying some animals like goats and cows.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am resting after work and I also get to spend sufficient time with my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced in my life is lack of money to pay school fees for my children. It pains me a lot to see my children at home during school time because I lack money to pay for their school tuition and yet their friends are at school.
