What does receiving this money mean to you?
Now because of my age, I am not so strong to do some other works that require strength. Since my husband left, I have been struggling to do something for myself so that the shame can move from on me. If God can help me to receive, I will put my money into business. I will sell provisions. The next thing I plan to do with the transfer is to send my children to school for better education. When they are educated, I will benefit from them when I am old and they will also take good care of me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My husband and I separated since 2014. I used to struggle very hard to find food to feed my children and I. I also used to make my farm alone. In our setting, it is not an easy thing for a woman to make a farm all by herself. I used to beg people to help me make my farm and pay them. But now, all my sufferings have started to cease since my daughter in Monrovia has started to help me. This is something that has really brought joy and happiness to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
For the past eight years, I have been suffering from pressure and typhoid. These medical conditions really had great impact on me and looking at my condition (no spouse), I used to pay people to help me with my farm works and pay them. Now I don't have money to pay them, I don't have a farm this year to feed my children and I. At the moment, pneumonia just started on me. All these medical conditions have affected my health.
