How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have any new goal. My goal has always been to build a house for myself and that is the only goal I have dor now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done extremely well for us through her unconditional transfer. This has enable me to construct my own house. I have been living in a thatch house since I was born. The transfers I received from GiveDirectly made me to build a house with a zinc roof which I am proud of.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes. The goal is to build a new house. Therefore, I have already started buying the materials to build the house. I have purchased three bundles of zinc and few cartoons of assorted nails.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done extremely well by transferring cash to us. This has changed our ways of living. I never thought of building my own house but GD has empowered me financially and I am now in the position to build a decent house for me and my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was really happy when I received transfer fund from GiveDirectly. Through out my life I have been living in thatch house. During raining season we experienced leakages everywhere inside our house. GiveDirectly financial assistance will help me live in a better shelter. I will used my first and second transfer to purchase two bundles of roofing sheets and purchase Planks to do the roofing work upon completing the elevation phase.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have not used my first transferred yet, I'm awaiting the second payment to add up and build my house, Because my dream has been to build a better shelter that will keep my family safe and warm. With this financial assistance that GiveDirectly have started sending me my life will improve greatly. I will have a better shelter to live in and this will safe my family from constantly getting sick from cold resulting from our leaking roof.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When we receive this transfer, we will build a new house. We will use the balance money to make coco farm. When the farm start producing, we will use the proceeds to start a small business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought happiness to us over the last six months is the yield we got from our rice farm. The proceeds from our farm can carry us for the next six months. We don't have to buy rice for now.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge we are facing right now is finance. As you can see, our house is leaking but we don' have money to buy zinc.
