What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on fixing steel windows and window panes, bought food for the family consumption and used most of the transfer on purchasing a bull that would help in farm work and a calf .
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that, I managed to build my homestead hence staying in a large house than the previous one.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GiveDirectly did well was giving transfers to the recipients which changed their lives and also being trustworthy. The only part that they did not do well is by leaving some recipients who were not qualified out of the program.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to construct a new three roomed house with better roofing and walls. My previous house was a small one roomed house. I also bought a mattress to replace the old one I had, a blanket and kitchen utensils.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have managed to move into a new and bigger house that we can all comfortably live in without squeezing inside.

I am planning to buy sand, cement, timber, round poles, nails and iron roofing sheets which we will use to build a better house for our family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a domestic house help and after diligently saving my earnings for a while I was able to buy a few chicken.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to build a better house for my family. The house we live in is dilapidated and I fear that it might collapse.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around midday when I am relaxing after finishing any tasks that I had planned to carry out in the morning. I usually relax with my friends as we chat and share our experiences, this usually makes me very happy.
