What does receiving this money mean to you?
My husband and I are surviving through rice farming and cassava farming and we have been doing this for more than 10 years now. Besides, the house we are currently living in is in a deplorable condition. I want to rebuild the house and roof it with zinc but I don't have the financial capacity to do so. If my household qualifies for GiveDirectly cash transfer program, I intend to use the money to build a new structure and to also establish a business to assist my husband in the home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Being able to raise money to send my children to school for this Academic years after they have dropped on several occasions makes me to feel happy. Besides, I was able to raise money to buy all their school materials before the school year could start which in itself bringse me joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Doing farming work is very challenging and it causes one to depreciate in the body very fast. The only means of survival that I know is through farming work. Being unable to raise money to start a business that will help us to limit the farming work and also complement my husband in the home when it comes to feeding is the biggest challenge I am currently facing.
