How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE " I hope to have a comfortable and beautiful house of my own. Because the house am currently living in is old and am often ashame when family or friends come over to pay me a visit at this old house ".
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE "Givedirectly is doing beyond well for me. I was really suffering before givedirectly came in and recuse me. I am very happy and thankful to givedirectly ".

RE " I spend the most of my recent transfer on paying my children school fees and started a new business to also help my household. The rest of the money was used towards payment of the contractors for the construction of own house ".

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in my village that early morning when I here people saying that givedirectly has send them money, I quickly when at the network area to check if I have received mine, luckily for me I saw a huge amount of money in my account. I was so happy, I was happy because the house I am living in has leakage all over the roof, I have planned to fixed it, but my income was still low to accomplish my planned, that's why when I received that money I first though of building a new house in my village for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is now is, now I am building a new house in my village. My family are now living a better life now, because my children are all health and in school. Before I wasn't having money to buy a big mattress, but now I have a big mattress. My children where all out of school before than, but now my children are in school.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I withdraw my money I was able to buy a big mattress first. I bought one bundles of zinc for now. I paid my children school fees, I also used parts of the my transfer to paid the workmanship for the project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"The house that my family and I are living in is not in good condition. The thatch over the house is leaking badly, so when I receive the transfer from GiveDirectly, I will use a portion of it to buy zinc to recondition my house and send my children to school with the remaining cash".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Last year December my daughter was seriously ill and there was no means of getting money to take her to the hospital for treatment, but a man by the name of Isaac, from pouh town, came and took my daughter's photo and then posted it on the social media. Fortunately, a good Samaritan saw her photo and then contacted an ambulance to carry my daughter and I to the hospital in zwedru, with the help of God, my daughter is well totally. That's what makes me very happy".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My children are many and there is no one to support them, my husband is doing a part-time job, but he hardly receives pay".
