How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I had no new goals. Our house has spoiled beyond repair. We have been praying to build a new one but have been unable to do so due to lack of money. I am a farmer. During harvest season, I use the produce from my cassava farms to make fufu. I take the fufu to local markets to sell. I then use the money to cater to my needs. Things have been so difficult for my family. I am so grateful for this golden opportunity. Things will never be the same in my life again.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does not do anything wrongly. It's cash program has improved our lives. We are now living in a better house with zinc roof. I am so grateful for this opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer. I used some of my money to buy planks and some other building materials. I also used some of my money to pay the contractors. I saved a little amount.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
One afternoon while we were sitting discussing as family I told my husband to go to the network spot and check the phone if the transfer has been sent. Upon his arrival at the spot he was alerted through the phone that forty thousand three hundred seventy five dollars ($40,375:00) has been sent from GiveDirectly. He came back to the house smiling, there I knew that the cash has been sent to my phone. Without any delay I began to joyfully sing and dance.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life I think would be I am now living in a house that is covered with zinc; also, I can afford now to even buy furnitures for my house that people in the city have. I feel releave from cutting tatch to cover my house especially when the rainy season is nearing.

I'm going to use my most recent transfer to buy zinc and cement. With the zinc and cement I will start building my new house. I am happy that GiveDirectly sent me this money because I will be able to build a decent house.
