How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Many thanks to givedirectly for their support to was my family and me. I am so happy that I was enrolled on this program. I am a farmer I farmed for living. Life has been so hard on me in that to even get food for my family used to be very difficult for me. But I am grateful to God for this opportunity. My house I am living in has leakage all over the roof. And I so happy that givedirectly enrolled me. I am planning to change my roof with iron sheets roof.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt happy upon receiving the transfer because I have never received such amount without labouring. I have unfinished house which I could not finish in my life. But the cash grant will boutress my effort to complete it. At the same time, I have four (4) children in high school whose tuition or last installment fees have not being paid. The transfer will also enabled me to pay it. As I achieve these two, I will be stressed free and the achievements become my source of motivation through Give Directly's program.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference Give Directly's program is making in my life is, my children last installment school fees are paid and my unfinished house project will be completed in the near future.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Based on the challenges I face, I spent my first transfer on children school fees, zinc, and transportation.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Since I started building this house 3 years ago,I am unable to finish it because there is no money. The room I sleep in currently does not have a door and the floors are not plaster aswell. With this transfer, I will be able to improve my house to the level that will be comfortable for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I believe that a man without a family is a sad man. I have been living all by myself for over 7 years now because of my poor living conditions but what gives me hope is the life given to me by God. I have the faith that my life will improve inorder to bring in a new wife.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am a father of 13 children because of my present living condition, they all lived by themselves. Now I don't have a wife , doing alot of farming activities and coming home at late hours to cook, its really stressful for me.
