Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Living in a house that is not in any good Condition, I can hardly afford food for my children. My children dropped out of school the past year because I couldn't meet up with the requirements.I felt very happy when I first saw the money on my phone. I don't even know how to describe the way I felt. Our lives will now improve. It is astonishing knowing your life is about to change for the best when you didn't have to work hard to achieve this. God is so good and I'm grateful for this opportunity.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that unlike before, I can afford food for my children two or three times a day. I don't have to worry about my children going to school everyday. It's exciting seeing your children with smiles on their faces going to school. Thank God for the GiveDirectly program our lives have improved.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My children dropped out of school the past year because I couldn't meet up with the requirements. Our house is not in a good condition. The roof has holes and it leaks during the rainy season. Now that I've been privileged to get on the GiveDirectly program I know our lives will improve. I'm so excited and grateful to be on this program. I bought a bundle of zinc to change the roof of my house. I also enrolled my children in school this year. All thanks to GiveDirectly for this opportunity.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will use part of my cash transfer to build my house. This is because the house I am living in now is made of mud and thatch, this is not really decent for living . During the raining season, the entire room get wet because of leakages. I will also send part of the money to my children in Monrovia for school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am very happy today for the good news I am hearing from Givedirectly. I also received a phone which makes me more happy .It my first time, since I was born, getting a phone .This makes me happy and I say a big thank you to GD. I have so much joy today because I have been told that if I am successful on this program ,I will receive cash transfers. This will help to solve some of my financial problems that I am facing.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challege I am face with here is financial help.I am a palm cutter, I go in the bush, cut palm and sell it just to get money to feed myself and then send some money to my children for schooling. The palm cutting work is hard abd very risky. My wife left me because of lack of money, it has been six months and she has return.I find it difficult getting for myself because I am single. I sometimes beg friends here for food before I can eat .
