How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: I have been wanting to start plank business long before now, therefore i was looking for someone who I can negotiate with since I could not afford to buy one(powersaw). But now that givedirectly is here With this help, i can be my own boss, so am using all of this transfer to purchase my own powersaw. The planks I will fix will be sold to take care of my family and i, besides this will also be a help to my community because no one in this town have powersaw.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: Givedirectly is doing very well with this program, because when enrolment people came here they give us phone for our money to come directly to us and not passing through anyone which was one of the smartest thing givedirectly people are doing that I enjoy about this program. This Liberia I know, if givedirectly was going to give this money to anyone to bring it to us here, we was never going to see it.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was eating when my money message came. As I remembered, it was a joyous day. Because, since I was born, I have not handle this amount of money before. Receiving this payment from GiveDirectly has brought the biggest joy in my live. And this joy is to build a new house for my family and I.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Receiving this payment from GiveDirectly has make the biggest difference in my life. It is my first-time to have handle such a huge amount of money. This first transfer has given me the opportunity to start the sawing of planks to construct a new house. A house that my family and I will live happily and comfortably.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am planning on spending my recent transfer on paying for the sawing of planks to build a house. The house that my family and I live in currently is very old and in a deplorable condition. It is made of thatch roof that leaks everytime it rains. My biggest plan now is to construct a better house that will have a zinc roof, where my family and I can happily live.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have a house that I build for my family. The roof of the house is thatch. During the raining season, there are leakages everywhere , which caused the house to be very uncomfortable for sleeping during the night hours, because of this I have decided to buy zinc. with the cash transfer, I will reroof my house with the zinc and also use part of the money to send my four children to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My greatest joy today is, seeing GiveDirectly in my community and being enroll in the programme. I am happy because with the help from GiveDirectly, my family and I will have a better living condition.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge faced is lack of finance. I am a hunter who goes to the bush to hunt, sell the meat, than provide food for my family. But most often, the trap do not catch meat, this cause me to be down financially and unable to provide for my family.
