How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, my life has has changed in that, I have been empowered. With the seeds that I have bought, I will sell some after harvesting and spend it on other pressing needs. prior to this cash transfer, it was very difficult to get seeds to plant in order to get in return a good harvest which could be sold and eaten as well.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well through Giving cash transfers without strings attached which has given the beneficiaries ample time to plan on how best to spend basing on the existing need in the household. It's difficult to see what GiveDirectly has failed to do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer for buying cement, iron sheets, bricks, marrum, paying labour towards construction of my permanent house. I am currently staying in a grass thatched house that is dusty and unhygienic. I bought seeds in order to plant when the rains fall.
