What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I don have anyone to support me my mother died in delivery room and father died during the 1990 war in Liberia, so I was unable to continue my schooling. My husband left me with there children after I left the sick bush last year January and I take care of them all by myself. I do contract around getting a little income to support my three children and myself, but these contracts are hardly available. If I'm successful in the givedirectly cash transfer program I have a lot on mind already but sending my children to school, building a new home and starting a business are my key priorities."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"the last six months nothing has brought joy or happiness in my life. Since I lost my parents every time I'm not feeling happy, it is because I believe when there were alive my life could have been different."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The lack of income has been my major challange. This is because I'm not educated and I don't want my children become the same, I have try all means doing contracts and income from the contracts are very minimal, asking some family members for help but they are never to my aid. I rent a one bedroom were my children and I sleep for which I work on their farms to pay their rent, anytime I'm alone I feels so embarrassed of my life."
