How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different than it would have been if i had never received the transfer because in the past i had been failing to buy fertilizer for my crops due to lack of money and the result has been meagre yields. That had been exacerbating food insecurity in my family, but now with GiveDirectly i have already procured 2 bags of fertilizer in readness for the next growing season and i have hope that yields will improve. Secondly, as you can see my house hass grass roof, this has been a problem especially during rainy season due to leaking, but now i have already procured 23 iron sheets which i want to improve the roof. Therefore i can confirm that Givedirectly has indeed changed my life
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
To say the fact GiveDirectly did well in all processes of programe implementation and i am satisified. Since it was my first time to experience such kind of cash transfer i find it difficult to single out any shortfall
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on 2 bags of fertilizer at MK38000 each, 23 iron sheets at MK5500 each moulding 5000 bricks at MK33000 and saved part of the transfer

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a great deal to me and my family because it means my family will be assisted and I will be able to do things I was previously unable to do. I will reap alot of benefits I will be able to buy food, fix my home, I have a thatched roof and I want to buy iron sheets because during the rainy season I experience some leakages. I also want to buy food for my household
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning because I am with my family and there is food available in the morning. I am able to make porridge and we sit and we eat together as a family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I've experienced is poverty and not having enough food to feed my family. Some nights go by and we sleep hungry without any food. We greatly rely on farming and casual labour to make a living which is always very difficult in the remote areas
