How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My name is Blama D. Moore from Takpoima town, Bomi county Liberia. I actually had confident that Givedirectly is a trustworthy organization. I was only praying to be selected as beneficiary for the program. When I saw confirmation massage that I have been selected, I was the happiest of all in this village because, all my life I been burning coal for survival. That massage was a dream come true. Before receiving my first cash transfer, I planned to clear my son semester tuition and start a very good business that will sustain my family even after Givedirectly cash transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly is a trustworthy organization that have decided to help the needed and they are committed to helping the needed. Their Staffs are very respectful, and aways checking to ensure that I receive cash transfer. All is well in this village when it comes to Givedirectly. I want to extend thanks and appreciation to Givedirectly and those that have contributed in helping the needed. I am so delighted.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Upon receiving my first cash transfer, I did payment of my son semester school fees and started business with the balance money. I added to my exiting business upon receiving my second cash transfer and planning to add the rest of my cash transfer to my existing business in order to improve my family standard of life.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I receive this cash transfer from Givedirectly, I will invest greater portion of the cash into Timber Business. My son is in secondary school and as such I need an investment that will yield more profit to support his education. I think this Timber business will be the right investment if I receive this cash transfer. Right now, educating my son means alot to me. I have the assurance that if my son is educated he will have a better Job to support his family in the future.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me joy and happiness in the last six months is: my son relocated to the city to get quality education. The community we live in doesn't have a school and because of that, my son never started his education at an early age. But with his relocation I think my dreams will finally be fulfilled.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My greatest hardship right now is; my family survive on the sale of charcoal. Sometimes after producing the charcoal, we hardly get buyers. Without buyers, it becomes difficult for me to get money to cater to my family needs. During charcoal burning, I usually sleep on the coal field. At times I get exposed to mosquitoes bites that lead to Malaria.
