We don't have total freedom in our relatives house. My first plan has been to build a temporary structure where my family and I can relocate. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
At about 8am during the early morning hours, while I was in my room lying down , I received my mobile money transfer through text from GiveDirectly. Right away I got up from bed, rushed outside and started singing a new song. I knew that I could finally use portion of the money received to complete my new house project and move in with my entire family. May God bless all those who have been helping to put smile on our faces. My desire to live in a better house with my family would not have been possible if GiveDirectly had not enrolled me into this program du to thw hardship my family was faced with.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Farm work has been the only means of generating income to do my house project, feed my family and send my children to school. It has been very tough to achieve all of the above listed responsibilities at once due to very low income. However, with GiveDirectly mobile money transfer my family and I will leave our two bed room apartment and move into the new and spacious three bed room house consisting of a sitting room, kitchen, two inside bathrooms with a front and back porch when it's completed. I am so happy that my dream of one day being a house owner has come to reality.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have always been on the farm each day working very hard for longer hours to find food for my family. More to that, I've been in dire need of finances to complete my new house and move in with my entire family. Therefore, as soon as I received my money, I bought the following: Woods, zinc, nails and cement. Thus, with this money transfer, I have enough money to complete my new and spacious three (3) bedroom house that can comfortably host me abd my family.

What is the happiest part of your day?
It was in April of this year, when my little sister give birthday to a bouncing baby boy. I was very much happy because most of the time she has to travel a little distance to seek medical attention and at the end of the day to give birth without operation, I was very much happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I'm facing is to feed my family. The only source of survival for my family is, when I cut palm to produce pamoil for sale. In producing the oil, it takes a lot of processes and I have to take it miles away for sale before getting few cups of rice for my family eat.
