What does receiving this money mean to you?
"When I receive this money, I will renovate my house. My husband was the Town Chief for Small Geveh when he built that house. Since his demise, I've not had the finance to renovate the house. The roof have all rot. It'll be a mockery for me to allow this house rot to the ground. So I will use my first transfer to change the roof of the house amongst others. Next, I will establish a soap business in Small Geveh. I was trained to fix "iron soap". The cost of producing Iron soap is relatively low. Additionally, the demand for this type of soap is very high in small Geveh .This type of business is not easily perishable. So I will start my soap-making business so I can multiply the money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
"The thing that has brought me joy is the coming of GD to Small Geveh. We've been praying for this opportunity to also reach to us. All other communities in the region have been served. It appeared at some point that we have been left out of this process. So when I saw your team requesting us to assemble for meeting, I was exceedingly glad. This money will help me to rid myself of shame of living in a broken house."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My most pressing challenge is to earn enough finance to support my family. My husband is dead. There's no one to support me. I sell "rice kallah" to support my family. This type of business is literally unreliable. The profit margin is relatively low. Additionally, rice kallah is highly perishable, thereby resulting in lost when there's bad sale. As a result, my home often run out of food most days."
